Unique Tooling Pty Ltd is a highprecision computerised Engineering and Toolmaking company who are primarily involved with manufacturing high quality metal machined parts, injection moulds, blow moulds and press tools for the Medical, Telecommunications, Defense, Science, Construction, Environmental and Packaging industries.
The trade of Toolmakeris the highestmetal trade qualification recognised all over the world.
Toolmakers are precision engineers able to design and manufacture machined parts or components made from plastic, steel, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel etc.
We currently employ and train 4 apprentices who will soon become highly sort after Toolmaker tradespersons at the end of their apprenticeship.
As an Australian trained Toolmaker, you will learn how to operate all manual type Toolroom machines including lathes, mills, surface grinders, and micro welding.
Also, you will be trained in the art of bench fitting.
Other opportunities as you move through your apprenticeship include CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) programming and operating high precision CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines.




After your apprenticeship has been completed you will not have any course fees to repay as we pay for your studies and for your attendance at TAFE.
The desired attributes that we are looking for in the applicant are:
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Exceptionally high mechanical aptitude.
Good imagination and problem-solving ability.
Take pride in your work.
High attention to detail.
School subjects in Engineering, Metal work or TAS.
Be physically fit.
Be able to attend TAFE in Ultimo one day per week.
Drivers license advantageous although there is a bus stop nearby.
