Hamilton Barnes is partnering with a well established Managed Services Provider to appoint aSystems & Network Engineerinto its growing Projects team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys delivering end to end technical projects.
The role is approximately80% project delivery and 20% high level support, allowing engineers to focus on designing, implementing and delivering up-to-date infrastructure solutions while providing technical expertise on complex escalations when required.
The successful engineer will join a specialist team that delivers technology solutions to organisations operating across themining and heavy industry sector, supporting business critical environments where reliability, security and performance are essential.
The position is hybrid, based from Tingalpa, with regular travel to customer sites across South East Queensland.
Key responsibilities:




Design and deliver Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure projects
Deploy and support Windows Server, VMware and Hyper V environments
Implement routing, switching, wireless, VPN and firewall solutions
Deliver infrastructure refreshes, cloud migrations and technology modernisation projects
Produce high quality technical documentation, solution designs and project handovers
Mentor engineers through peer reviews and technical guidance
Contribute to automation initiatives and the adoption of AI driven technologies across project delivery
Key experience required:
Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure
Windows Server and virtualisation technologies
Strong networking experience across routing, switching, wireless and firewalls
Excellent customer facing communication and documentation skills
