Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Off | 7 Nights On / 7 Off- FIFO Ex Perth or Residentially based in Port Hedland
We are seeking experiencedConveyor / Belt Technicians (Belt Tech's, Scraper Tech's & Roller Tech's)to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance team based inPort Hedland.
Reporting to the Supervisor Conveyor Maintenance, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving conveyor systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
We're looking for candidates across all experience levels — whether you're just starting out in the industry or you're a seasoned belt technician looking for your next opportunity.
This is an prospect to contribute to a high-performing team, where safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement are at the forefront of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
Perform steel cord and fabric conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance activities
Carry out pulley lagging using cold vulcanised methods in line with Fortescue standards
Apply rubber lining to pipes, spools, chutes, launders and associated equipment
Conduct conveyor system maintenance including roller replacements, frame change-outs, skirt maintenance & tracking system installations
Maintain high standards of safety and belt hygiene across fixed plant operations
Complete preventative maintenance inspections and accurately record data in the Plant Data System (PDS)
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance reliability and performance
Qualifications And Experience




Level 2 or 3 Belt Splicing qualification (desirable)
Demonstrated experience with conveyor components; scrapers, rollers, pulleys
Demonstrated experience working within fixed plant or continuous processing environments
Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, maintenance practices and production requirements
Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP, PDS)
Solid understanding of maintenance and reliability strategies in large-scale operations
High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
Strong commitment to safety and achieving zero harm outcomes
