Casual Sales Assistant - Motorcycle Gear (Rider Knowledge Essential)
Off Track Moto is a family-owned motorcycle apparel and accessories store in West Ryde, built by riders for riders.
We're also the Sydney dealership for AJP Motorcycles, so you'll be working around adventure and enduro bikes, not just gear.
We're looking for a casual Sales Assistant who genuinely knows or loves motorcycles and wants to help other riders choose the right gear for how and where they ride.
Please note:genuine motorcycle knowledge or interest is essential for this role.
You don't need a licence or your own bike, but applications that don't demonstrate any connection to motorcycles will not progress.
In your cover letter, please tell us in 2–3 sentences about your connection to motorcycles- what you ride, riding as a pillion, racing or moto content you follow, family riding background, anything at all to demonstrate your interest.
What You Will Do:
Assist riders with selecting the right gear for their bike, riding style, and conditions
Spend time understanding customers' bikes and riding needs before recommending products
Learn technical product features (armour, materials, fitment) and explain them confidently
Greet showroom visitors and direct AJP motorcycle enquiries to the right person




Maintain shop floor standards, merchandising, and visual presentation
Process and pack online orders and assist with general sales
Assist with stock control and day-to-day store operations
Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email
Open and close the store on allocated shifts
Who We Are Looking For:
Genuine motorcycle knowledge or interest
Retail or customer-facing experience preferred
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable taking initiative
Willingness to learn technical product information and explain it clearly
Perks and Pay:
$30–$40 per hour casual rates
Generous staff discounts on riding gear
On hours:this role is roughly ***** hours per week.
When you tell us your availability, please give us the hours you'd actually want to work, not your theoretical maximum - there's no bonus for saying you can do 60 hours.
We're matching shifts to people, not testing commitment, and "I'm after about 15 hours around uni" is perfectly fine.
