Hi-Tech Modular Homes is expanding its operations in regional New South Wales and is seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our manufacturing team at our Elong Elong facility.
This position offers the prospect to work on a diverse range of modular residential and commercial building projects in a controlled factory environment. You will play an important role in producing high-quality modular buildings from the framing stage through to final completion.
We are looking for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship and works well within a practical, team-focused environment.
About the Position
Working as part of our factory construction team, you will undertake a variety of carpentry and building tasks throughout the different stages of modular construction.
Constructing timber wall frames, floor systems, subfloors and roof structures
Completing structural and general carpentry work
Installing internal and external doors, skirting boards and architraves
Carrying out second-fix and finishing carpentry
Installing timber cladding, decking and pergolas
Installing cabinetry, joinery and other fixtures
Reading and working from construction plans, drawings and specifications
Checking measurements, levels and completed work for accuracy
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and quality control
Following workplace health and safety procedures
Coordinating with supervisors, tradespeople and other factory team members
Assisting with general construction activities when required
About You
To be considered for this position,



you should have:
A Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent recognised trade qualification
At least five years of relevant carpentry or construction experience
A current White Card
Your own standard carpentry tools
The ability to confidently read and interpret building plans
Sound knowledge of residential construction methods and Australian building practices
A strong commitment to workplace safety
Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
The ability to organise your work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills
A punctual and professional approach to work
A current driver's licence is preferred.
Previous experience in modular housing, prefabricated construction, residential building or factory-based manufacturing would be an advantage; however, it is not essential.
