Your opportunity
Join a team that's committed to supporting people and strengthening communities across the Northern Territory.
As a Team Leader, you'll support a team of approximately five employees delivering vital community services across Katherine.
You'll provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and guidance while helping ensure high-quality, person-centred services are delivered to individuals experiencing complex challenges.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll provide support to a team delivering services across four programs such as Tenancy Support, Psychosocial Support Measure, Emergency Relief and Transitional Accommodation Programs.
Working alongside your team, community partners and stakeholders, you'll support service delivery, provide guidance on complex client matters, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a small caseload of participants across programs.
You'll help create an environment where your team feels supported to do their best work while delivering meaningful outcomes for the Katherine community.
Key responsibilities
Lead, support and develop a team of community services employees.
Provide regular supervision, coaching and mentoring to team members.
Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services and positive client outcomes.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
Support staff working with clients experiencing complex needs and challenges.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local services, community organisations and government stakeholders.




Contribute to reporting, compliance and continuous improvement activities.
Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, safety and achieving the best outcomes for clients.
Requirements for success
Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching or mentoring employees within a community services environment.
Experience supporting people experiencing complex challenges, including mental health, homelessness, family and domestic violence, disability or other social issues.
Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong administration, reporting and organisational skills.
Current Driver Licence with no restrictions.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
