As our Program Lead – Counselling Services, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of counselling and mental health services across Community and Mission.
Combining clinical expertise with inspirational leadership, you'll support counsellors and students to deliver high‐quality, evidence‐based counselling while continuing to provide therapeutic support to individuals, children, young people and families experiencing complex emotional needs.

With integrity and resilience, you will:
Lead and provide professional practice supervision to Counsellors and student placements.
Recruit, mentor and develop a high‐performing counselling team.
Foster a culture of clinical excellence, continuous learning and evidence‐based practice.
Deliver therapeutic counselling services to individuals, children, young people and families experiencing complex emotional needs.
Build strong referral pathways and partnerships with schools, churches, government and community organisations.
Promote Counselling Services through community engagement, education and stakeholder relationships.
Monitor program quality, budgets, outcomes and funding requirements.
Ensure compliance with organisational, professional and legislative standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement through program evaluation, policy development and innovation.

What you'll bring
You're an experienced clinical leader who is passionate about supporting people through life's challenges while developing others to deliver outstanding therapeutic care.
You combine strong clinical judgement with compassionate leadership and enjoy building capable, resilient teams that make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
Most importantly,

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or an equivalent discipline.
Graduate membership of a PACFA registered organisation, AASW, APS or equivalent professional body.
Current NSW Driver Licence.
Demonstrated clinical experience in family and relationship counselling, couple counselling and/or counselling children and adolescents.
Minimum 500 hours of counselling or client contact experience.
Experience leading, supervising or mentoring counselling professionals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‐building capability.
Ability to balance clinical practice with operational leadership responsibilities.
Experience managing counselling or mental health programmes.
Experience supervising students or early career clinicians.
Experience working with schools, churches or community organisations.
Knowledge of funding compliance, quality improvement and programme evaluation.
Experience developing therapeutic group programmes or delivering training.
