Anaesthetist - Consultant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join an established Anaesthesia Department in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialities, delivering high-quality anaesthetic services for elective and emergency surgery while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver Consultant-led anaesthetic services across a wide range of surgical specialities.
Provide anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
Deliver obstetric anaesthesia services.
Perform regional anaesthesia where appropriate.
Undertake pre-admission and perioperative assessments.
Support acute pain management services.
Participate in emergency response teams.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary perioperative teams to deliver safe, patient-centred care.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Registration
Essential
UK CCT in Anaesthetics or Irish CSCST in Anaesthesiology (or due to complete training shortly).
Eligibility for Specialist Registration in Australia via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or another recognised specialist pathway.
Experience
Essential
Consultant-level Anaesthetic experience.
Broad experience delivering perioperative care across multiple surgical specialities.
Strong clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working.
