About Us?
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The Regional and Specialist team includes Integrated Specialist Services, Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, Primary Healthcare Services, Birthing and Early Childhood Services (South), and Child and Youth Services.
Our purpose is to connect, guide, and empower teams and communities through culturally safe, transparent, and responsive ways.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join us in an exciting role that offers the unique opportunity to work across a range of community-controlled health services throughout the region.

This position requires extensive travel across the Moreton Bay, Logan, Ipswich, and Gold Coast regions to deliver services where needed.

You will:
Provide exceptional customer serviceby handling appointments, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks.
Ensure smooth clinic operationsby coordinating appointments, patient flow, and confirming attendance.
Travel regularlyto various clinics across the SEQ region to provide administrative support where needed.
Positions available:
Full-time (38 hours/week, Monday - Friday)

About You

To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Ability to maintain confidentialityand work discreetly with sensitive information
Abilitytowork within different teamsand autonomously
Current C-Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
Own reliable vehicle(allowance provided)
Criminal History Check(or willingness to obtain)




Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card)(prior to commencement)
CPR & First Aid Certificate
Previous medical reception experience(highly desirable)
Proficiency in MS Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent Communication Skills(verbal and written)
Strong Organisational Skillswith the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Desirable but not mandatory:
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
