Contract/Engagement:
Initial contract through to 30 June **** + 3x 12-month extension options.
Location:
Canberra, ACT (On-site within secure client premises)
Role & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy scalable Power BI dashboards and interactive reports tailored to diverse stakeholder needs.
Perform advanced data modelling, data transformation, and query optimisation across complex enterprise data repositories.
Collaborate closely with business analysts, technical architects, and key stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into robust data visualisations.
Maintain, tune, and streamline existing reporting assets to ensure high performance, accuracy, and data integrity.




Ensure all data solutions adhere to strict government data governance, security classification, and documentation standards.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
Technical Toolkit:
Advanced mastery of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M Language), SQL, data warehousing concepts, and data integration techniques (aligned with SFIA Level 5 expertise).
Experience:
Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade analytics and visualisations, preferably within a Federal Government, Defence, or highly regulated setting.
Core Capabilities:
Outstanding stakeholder management skills, sharp analytical thinking, and a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of this environment, candidates
must hold a current NV1 (Negative Vetting 1) security clearance
and be an Australian Citizen.
