In this leadership role, you'll drive strategic projects, influence the city's open space planning, and help create places that support active, healthy and connected communities.
What you'll be doing
Lead the strategic planning and delivery of Council's open space, parks, sports precincts and recreation network.
Deliver master planning, capital works and renewal projects that enhance community recreation spaces.
Provide specialist advice on open space planning, recreation infrastructure and urban greening.
Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Build strong partnerships with government agencies, sporting organisations, community groups and internal stakeholders.
Prepare strategic reports and advice to support decision-making by executive management and elected members.
What you'll bring
Qualifications in planning, landscape architecture, recreation management, sports management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in strategic open space and recreation planning and management.
Experience delivering capital works projects, including project management and contract administration.
Robust leadership skills with experience developing and supporting high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills.




National Police Check Certificate dated within 6 months prior to commencement.
