Accounts Payable Officer - Maternity Leave Coverage
We're looking for an organised, detail-oriented
Accounts Payable Officer
to join our Finance Team on a
12-month full-time maternity leave contract
.
Based in
Shepparton
, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable function, supporting one of Australia's largest KFC franchise businesses. Working closely with the Finance Team and stakeholders across the business, you'll help ensure invoices, supplier payments and financial administration are processed accurately, efficiently and on time.

What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Coding and entering invoices into our finance system for approval and payment
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies
Preparing and processing electronic payments
Managing employee expense claims in line with company policy
Reconciling company credit card transactions
Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes
Supporting accounts receivable and cash reconciliation activities as required
Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment enquiries
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring confidentiality of financial information
Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes and supporting the wider Finance Team with general administration as required
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organisation. You'll bring:
Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable or similar role
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
The ability to prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience using accounting software (JDE experience will be highly regarded, but not essential)
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to work collaboratively as part of a team
