About the Role
A NSW Government organisation based in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced HR Project Manager for a 10-month contract. This hybrid role (3 days in-office) offers up to $1,224 per day + super, and the chance to lead high-impact workforce initiatives within a large, complex public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead assigned HR projects end-to-end — managing scope, milestones, timelines, governance, risks and interdependencies to deliver agreed outcomes
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and sponsors, providing clear progress reporting and evidence-based recommendations to support decision-making
Establish and maintain robust project governance, including project plans, schedules, risk registers, action logs and reporting, aligned to NSW Public Sector standards




Engage and coordinate stakeholders across business units and external providers to progress deliverables, manage dependencies and resolve delivery challenges
Apply structured change management and communication strategies to drive readiness, adoption and sustainability of workforce-related initiatives
About You
Demonstrated experience delivering complex HR or workforce-related projects — including planning, governance, execution and reporting — within a large or complex organisation
Proven track record advising and reporting to senior leaders and sponsors on project status and risk
Robust stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and functions to progress deliverables
