Saleyard Support Officer
Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated
Livestock Sales Support Officer
to assist with weekly livestock sales, on Mondays. This role involves supporting the auction process, maintaining stock flow, and providing administrative assistance in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assisting the auctioneer in the selling ring Moving livestock smoothly into and out of the ring at the right time
Keeping stock flowing so sales run efficiently, Positioning animals so buyers can clearly see them while bidding
Observing buyer interest and communicating signals (bids/nods) to the auctioneer if required
Maintaining safety for people and animals at all times
Assisting agents with buyer identification and recording bids
Checking and confirming vendor details, stock numbers, and documentation
About you
Current Class C Drivers Licence
General Construction Induction Training Card (White card)




Proven experience in service delivery administration with demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload, and to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong stock-handling ability and awareness of livestock behaviour
Ability to work fast-paced in a noisy environment
