An outstanding opportunity is now available for an experienced
Venue General Manager
to join our client on a permanent basis. You'll initially lead their flagship venue,
located in St Kilda
—an authentic Irish pub in the heart of St Kilda—covering a parental leave period. Following this, you'll take the reins of the thoughtfully restored
Hotel
in Windsor, renowned for its vibrant beer garden, hearty pub fare and relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere.
About the Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance, culture, standards, brand integrity and profitability of the venue. You'll lead all day-to-day operations while creating an environment where both guests and team members thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and inspiring a high-performing team while fostering a positive workplace culture.




Delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining consistently high service standards.
Driving sales growth and venue profitability through sound commercial decision-making.
Managing budgets, forecasting, labour costs and financial performance.
Ensuring compliance with licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety, and all relevant legislation.
Building strong relationships with suppliers, service providers and key stakeholders.
Partnering with senior leadership to deliver long-term strategic initiatives and venue development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Proven experience as a General Manager or senior hospitality leader within a high-volume pub or hospitality venue.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
A hands-on leadership style with a genuine passion for hospitality.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
