An established Australian food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its engineering team.
Supporting a large-scale 24/7 processing facility, you'll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, responding to electrical breakdowns and driving continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance and improving equipment reliability within a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you'll work across a diverse range of automated production equipment, carrying out electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance and equipment improvements to maximise plant performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to electrical breakdowns and restoring plant operation safely and efficiently.
Completing preventative and planned electrical maintenance.
Fault finding across PLC-controlled production equipment.
Maintaining motors, VSDs, sensors, conveyors, instrumentation and automated processing equipment.
Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning.
Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults to minimise downtime.
Participating in planned shutdowns and reliability improvement projects.
Working closely with Production to minimise downtime and improve plant performance.
Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, safety and operational efficiency.
About You
To be successful, you'll ideally possess:
Current Electrical Licence.
Experience as a Maintenance Electrician within food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, dairy, meat processing or another continuous manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment.
Knowledge of motors, drives, control systems and industrial electrical equipment.
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production and fellow tradespeople.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
