About the role:
Drake Medox is seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working Registered Nurse within the
Shepparton
area.
Our client requires experienced Registered Nurses to support her on an ongoing basis. Our client has a Spinal Cord Injury and a tracheostomy. We are looking for nurses who are flexible to work across a 24/7 roster and be available to do a mix of Morning, Afternoon and Active night shifts on fixed ongoing bases.
You will demonstrate teamwork and champion a safe and positive environment for our client and will be guided by a strong Allied Health presence. You will help us manage and maintain strong clinical standards and will be required to support our client in achieving their short and long-term goals.
Our ideal nurses will have proven experience in Tracheostomy Care, Ventilation,
Manual Handling, Pressure Area Care, Catheter Care & Bowel Care.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse who can undertake the following key responsibilities:
Personal care
Medication administration
Domestic assistance
Bowel Care management
Full supervision of the client
Work with Tracheostomy care and management
Airway assistance and management
Continuous clinical assessment of client
Assist alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
Support the client with activities at home and out in the community
About you
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
Previous Spinal Cord Injury experience
Manual handling experience (essential)
AHPRA Registration
Current accredited First aid and CPR
NDIS Screening Clearance
Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
Right to live and work within Australia
Valid Australian Driver's License
We are also looking for someone with outstanding communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
