The Role
This is more than teaching classes. At Studio Vela, our instructors are the heartbeat of the studio — the reason members keep coming back. We're looking for someone who brings technical excellence, genuine warmth and a deep love for reformer Pilates to every session they lead.

Key Responsibilities
Class Delivery & Member Experience
Deliver engaging, safe and technically precise reformer Pilates classes
Provide appropriate modifications and progressions for all fitness levels
Ensure correct technique and movement quality throughout every session
Create a welcoming, motivating and inclusive class environment
Build genuine relationships with members that support long-term retention
Studio Standards & Operations
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the studio floor at all times
Set up and pack away reformers and equipment correctly after every class
Monitor and uphold safety procedures during sessions
Report any equipment or maintenance issues promptly
Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled shifts and classes
Brand Representation & Member Engagement




Represent the Studio Vela brand professionally at all times — on the floor and online
Support studio promotions, events and community initiatives
Contribute positively to the studio culture and team environment
Deliver a high standard of customer service in every interaction
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold and maintain the following at the time of appointment:
Current Reformer Pilates certification
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (required for contractors)
Previous experience teaching reformer Pilates classes in a commercial studio environment is highly regarded.

Flexible scheduling across morning, daytime and evening classes. Weekend availability may be required.
Class Schedule
Mon–Fri: 6am-8pm
Sat- Sun: 6am-11am
Pay Rate
~$60 per hour (Casual / Contractor)
Part-time rate commensurate with experience
