Melbourne Holocaust Museum – Elsternwick VIC
The Events & Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in bringing the Melbourne Holocaust Museum's vision to life through a dynamic program of public events, community engagement activities and digital communications.
Working closely with internal teams, presenters, partners and community stakeholders, the role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of MHM's annual events program. This includes event planning and execution, budgeting and financial tracking, stakeholder liaison, ticketing and registration management, preparation of event documentation and run sheets, onsite event coordination, evaluation and reporting. The role also builds and maintains relationships with community groups and partner organisations and supports the promotion of events and organisational initiatives through MHM's social media channels to build audience engagement and extend the Museum's reach.
The position works collaboratively across the organisation to support in-person, virtual and hybrid events and assists with the preparation and publication of event recordings and digital content.
This part-time role (0.8 FTE) operates across a six-day roster and requires regular evening and Sunday work, together with flexibility in working hours to support the successful delivery of events.
About You
You will have:
Experience coordinating events or community engagement activities from concept through to delivery and evaluation
Experience using social media platforms to promote events, campaigns or organisational activities
Confidence using CRM databases (e.g. HubSpot), ticketing platforms (e.g. Humantix), Canva and Microsoft Office
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines




Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
