JK are partnering with a multinational Manufacturing business in the Ballarat area. Due to an exponential increase in workload, we are looking for 6x skilled Welders and Fabricators - either trade qualified or hands‐on and experienced - to join the team immediately.
The Role
This is a workshop‐based welding and fabrication role in a modern, heavy manufacturing environment. You'll be MIG welding with mild steel ranging from 3–12mm, producing components to drawings and specifications.
There is also training involved in the role, so if you have foundational MIG welding skills that you are looking to improve in a hands-on environment, we'd love to hear from you!
The team is open to:
Trade‐qualified Fabricators
Experienced Welders who can read drawings and work independently
Skilled non‐qualified operators with solid mechanical aptitude
If you're practical, reliable, and take pride in your welds, this role will suit you.
What You'll Be Doing
MIG welding (core requirement)
Fabrication work to plans and drawings
Using hand and power tools confidently
Working with medium‐gauge steel (3–12mm)
Contributing to a busy, safety‐focused workshop
What We're Looking For
Competent MIG welding skills (essential)




Fabrication experience or qualification (desirable, not essential)
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Robust mechanical aptitude
Comfortable working in a heavy manufacturing environment
Reliable, safety‐conscious, and team‐oriented
