We are seeking an experienced
HR Generalist
to join the People & Culture team in Melbourne on a
***** month parental leave cover contract
.
This role will act as the first point of contact for HR support for employees and managers, providing hands-on advice and support across employee relations, HR operations, compliance, systems, and employee experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
Provide practical HR advice and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, recruitment, employment matters, and employee relations.
Support employee relations matters including conflict resolution, performance management, absence management, and termination processes.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
Provide practical HR advice and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, recruitment, employment matters, and employee relations.
Support employee relations matters including conflict resolution, performance management, absence management, and termination processes.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.
Policy, Compliance & HR Operations
Maintain HR policies, procedures, templates, and documentation in line with Australian employment legislation and company standards.
Ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements, National Employment Standards, and internal HR practices.
Manage employment documentation and HR administration processes.
Benefits & Employee Support
Provide support and guidance across employee benefits programs, including superannuation, private health insurance, income protection, and wellbeing initiatives.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of benefits programs.
HR Systems & Reporting
Support HR systems and platforms while ensuring accurate employee data and reporting.
Provide HR insights and reporting to support business decisions and continuous improvement.
Experience with Oracle HR systems is advantageous; however, training will be provided.
Employee Experience & HR Projects
Support onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, and employee experience initiatives.
Assist with change management activities and internal communications.
Support learning and development initiatives and regional HR projects.
About You
3+ years of HR experience, ideally within an automation, manufacturing, industrial, or global organisation.
Valuable knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and modern awards.
Experience providing HR advisory support and managing employee relations matters.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes.
Excellent organisational skills with solid attention to detail.
