Latrobe Regional Health is looking for
Payroll Officer
to join our growing team on a
part time (0.8EFT) ongoing.
The Payroll Officer provides high ‐ quality payroll administration services to ensure the accurate and timely payment of employee wages and entitlements in accordance with relevant Enterprise Agreements, legislation, organisational policies and payroll procedures.
Working as part of the Payroll Department, the role supports payroll processing, leave and records management, reconciliations, audits and customer enquiries while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy and a strong commitment to customer service.

The role of the
Payroll Officer
is to:
Process payroll transactions including pay changes, leave requests, ad hoc payments and employee entitlements in accordance with Enterprise Agreements, policies and payroll procedures.
Ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages, allowances and conditions while maintaining payroll records and employee data integrity.
Perform payroll audits, reconciliations and reporting activities, including salary packaging and payroll compliance checks, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Provide professional and timely support to employees and stakeholders by responding to payroll enquiries and providing accurate payroll information in line with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Assist with payroll projects and implementation of Enterprise Agreement wage increases, entitlement changes and process improvements.
Maintain payroll documentation and records, including filing,



archiving and record management activities in accordance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Experience providing accurate and effective payroll services, including payroll processing, record management and payroll administration.
Strong understanding of Enterprise Agreement interpretation, payroll procedures and employee entitlement management.
Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent organisational and time ‐ management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast ‐ paced environment.
A strong commitment to confidentiality, customer service, continuous improvement and learning new systems and processes.
Experience with SAP Payroll, Kronos Payroll and Kronos Timekeeper systems, along with experience using payroll or HR information systems and administrative software (desirable).
