Our work consists of commercial construction, with this position to run an 8 story/50 unit project in Birtinya, which has 2 further upcoming stages that will go for the next ~5 years.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Plumbing Foreman
to join Trade Plumbing & Drainage. This is a
full-time position
that offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned plumbing professional to take on a leadership role within our established team. As Plumbing Foreman, you will be responsible for running plumbing projects, overseeing site operations, coordinating with team members, and ensuring all work meets our standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
Plan, schedule and manage plumbing operations, ensuring efficiency.
Supervise and mentor plumbers and apprentices, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
Conduct pre-project inspections and assessments to determine scope of work and resource requirements.
Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian plumbing codes, standards and regulations.
Liaise with building site manager and other trades to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Manage materials and equipment, ensuring day to day on time material deliveries.
Perform quality control inspections to verify workmanship. Book and attend plumbing inspections.
Oversee health and safety on all job sites, conducting toolbox talks and ensuring compliance with workplace safety requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance team productivity.
What we're looking for
Experience as a qualified plumber with supervisory or foreman experience.
Current Queensland plumbing license.
In-depth knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems, including drainage, water supply, hydrants.
Understanding of Australian plumbing codes, building regulations and health and safety legislation.
Problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with building site manager.
Competent with basic computer systems for job management and record-keeping.
Valid driver's licence.
Current First Aid certification is desirable. Training can be provided.
