Senior Compliance Engineer
to lead product compliance activities across our extensive portfolio with a focus on Consumer Electronics, Televisions, Major Domestic Appliances, Small Domestic Appliances and Microwave Ovens. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet all applicable Australian and international regulatory, safety, and certification requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Working closely with engineering, procurement, product management, sales teams, suppliers, and external certification bodies, you will play a critical role in supporting product development, maintaining market access, and protecting the integrity of our brands.

Senior Compliance Engineer

This role is responsible for ensuring products meet all applicable Australian and international regulatory, safety, and certification requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Working closely with engineering, procurement, product management, sales teams, suppliers, and external certification bodies, you will play a critical role in supporting product development, maintaining market access, and protecting the integrity of our brands.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure products comply with all relevant Australian and international regulations, standards, and certification requirements.
Manage product testing programs, certifications, approvals, and ongoing renewals throughout the product lifecycle.
Monitor changes to regulatory requirements and industry standards, assessing and communicating impacts across the business.
Partner with Engineering, Product Development, Procurement, Sales,
and suppliers to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into new and existing products.
Coordinate testing, certification, and approval activities with accredited laboratories, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
Review product packaging, artwork, labelling, instruction manuals, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
Identify compliance risks and provide practical recommendations to support product development, commercial objectives, and market access.
Lead compliance investigations relating to customer complaints, product incidents, corrective actions, recalls, and regulatory reporting requirements where necessary.
Maintain accurate compliance records, certification documentation, and technical files.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance Engineering, or a similar technical compliance role.
Strong knowledge of Australian and international product safety, regulatory, and certification requirements.
Demonstrated understanding of Australian and European compliance frameworks and standards.
Experience managing product testing, certification programs, regulatory submissions, and technical documentation.
Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to assess risk and implement practical solutions.
Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience
Experience within consumer electronics, household appliances, electrical products, or other highly regulated product categories.
Familiarity with global certification schemes and international market compliance requirements.
Experience working directly with manufacturers, testing laboratories, and regulatory authorities.
