Day Respite Support Worker

As a Day Respite Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, engaging and uplifting day respite experiences.
Blending compassionate care with lifestyle and wellbeing support, you'll help people feel at home, stay socially connected and enjoy meaningful moments each day.

Located at Magnolia Cottage in Nowra, NSW

About the RoleIn this hands-on and rewarding position, you will:
Help clients with personal care and daily tasks, based on their needs, choices and preferences
Support social, recreational and wellbeing activities so clients feel involved and connected
Help create a safe, friendly and comfortable day respite space that feels like home
Assist clients to go on outings and join community activities, events and celebrations
Help clients move safely and take part in activities
Write clear and accurate notes about each person's care and wellbeing
Follow food safety rules, infection control and workplace health and safety rules
Work well with other support workers, volunteers, families and carers
About You
You're caring, reliable and purpose driven.
You will bring:
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care,



or a related care qualification
Experience in aged care, disability or community services
A compassionate and respectful approach to supporting people of all ages
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain), as you will engage with clients' family and friends across all ages
A current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain); Food Safety Certification is advantageous
The ability to work well within a supportive, team-based workplace
Willingness to work within a Christian values-based organisation
A current National Criminal History Check suitable for aged care (or willingness to obtain)
