Entry Level Operator/Maintainer Roster: FIFO from anywhere in Australia 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off Location: Port Hedland Employment Type: Casual About the role This role is designed for an A Grade Electrician looking to expand their skills into specialised rail machinery and mobile maintenance.
Working as part of an experienced rail resurfacing team, you will receive extensive training in the operation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of advanced rail equipment.
With structured on-the-job training and support from experienced operators and maintainers, you will develop the skills required to build a long-term career within the rail industry.Skills & experience
Current A Grade Electrical Licence (mandatory) Experience with fault finding, diagnostics and electrical maintenance Interest in heavy machinery, mobile equipment and industrial systems Full C Class Driver's Licence with no restrictions (HR Licence desirable but not essential) Ability to work FIFO on a 2:2 roster Ability to pass a Rail Category 1 Medical and Drug & Alcohol testing Certificate II Rail Infrastructure (minimum) - Desirable Track Machine Operator National Qualifications (TLIC****) (TLIC****) - Desirable Proven experience as a Track Machine Operator - Desirable Previous experience operating 09-3x Tamper & Unimat 4S Tampers- Desirable Previous exposure to mining or remote work environments - Desirable Knowledge of rail safety standards, rules, and procedures - Desirable Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents including manuals and drawings - Desirable Duties & responsibilities Complete comprehensive training to become a skilled Operator/Maintainer within the rail industry Learn to operate specialised rail resurfacing and maintenance equipment Perform electrical fault finding,
