About the role:
As a Maintenance Officer at BaptistCare Yallambee, you will be responsible for ensuring the facility is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents.
This is a hands-on, wide-ranging role where no two days are the same.
You will carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, including painting, gardening, and general property upkeep.
Your work will directly contribute to the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns and carparksComplete painting and general property maintenance tasksEnsure preventative maintenance schedules are completed in a timely mannerMaintain asset acquisitions and disposals within Maintenance ConnectionManage site vehicles and loading dock areasCollaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager regarding asset management and budget planningPurchase materials and equipment in line with organisational policiesRespond to and manage maintenance-related requests and concerns from residents and staffDevelop positive working relationships with staff, contractors and service providersEnsure compliance with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies and procedures
Roster:
3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
8:00am start
6.25 hours per day

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 12 months' experience in preventative and reactive maintenance systemsHands-on property maintenance experienceExperience managing property-related contractorsUnderstanding of operational budget processesStrong Microsoft 365 skillsCurrent driver's licenceExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA proactive, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving abilitiesAlignment with BaptistCare's vision, purpose and values
Desirable
Trade qualificationFire Safety Officer training (or willingness to obtain)Experience working within an aged care or healthcare environment
About Yallambee:
Located in the serene suburb of Mundaring, BaptistCare Yallambee is a 40 bed site and offers a peaceful and picturesque place to call home.
The facility consists of four separate houses, each comprising ten rooms along with a kitchen, dining,



and lounge area.
Yallambee provides 24-hour nursing and specialised care, including dementia, diabetes, and palliative care.
Residents can enjoy freshly made meals onsite, participate in activities, or unwind in the beautifully landscaped outdoor gardens and BBQ area.
