THE ORGANISATIONOur Ways Strong Together: National Peak Body for Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence is a newly established peak body dedicated to addressing family, domestic and sexual violence within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
THE ROLEThe Executive Support Officer will be responsible for delivering professional, confidential and high level administrative and strategic support to a small team including the CEO, senior executives and board.
This includes managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing reports and briefing papers.
The Executive Support officer will be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and workflow within the organisation.
KEY DUTIES
Executive Administration Provide administrative support to the CEO, assist with diary management, organise meetings, travel arrangements and manage executive correspondence
Board & Governance Support - responsible for managing board processes including scheduling meetings, coordination and compilation of board papers, minutes and record keeping, maintaining board governance processes and registers.
Stakeholder management - build and maintain relationships with members, key stakeholders, external agencies and internal teams; ensure effective internal and external communications
Confidentiality and Discretion - handle sensitive information appropriately exercising sound judgement and tact, maintain confidentiality in all board and executive matters.
SELECTION CRITERIAEssential Requirements
Demonstrated experience in providing day-to-day high-level executive support to CEO and/or small executive leadership team
Strong understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and commitment to culturally protected practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing high quality correspondence, documentation, reports, briefing notes and board minutes
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building relationships across diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Requirements
Qualifications in Public Administration or related fields
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, SharePoint or similar tools
CULTURAL ACUMENAll staff are expected to demonstrate advanced cultural knowledge and embed culturally safe practices, with deep commitment to the principles of self-determination, truth-telling and community-control.
This is an hourly rate contract.
The rate is $65 per hour + 12% Super.
