About the rolePhoenix IT is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician/Engineer to join our growing team in Bunbury, WA ****.
This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to provide technical support and solutions to our clients across the region.
In this role, you will be at the frontline of our IT support operations, delivering exceptional service and maintaining the technology infrastructure that keeps our clients' businesses running smoothly.
You will play a crucial part in our mission to provide reliable, professional IT support whilst building long-term relationships with our clients.
Whilst the ideal candidate may have all the skills we are looking for and years of experience, we are open to someone who has enough experience with some or all of the skills we are looking for to hit the ground running and is self-motivated to build on their skills quickly - are you that person?

Tasks, Skills and Responsibilities
We are ideally looking for a candidate with a strong Level 2 / Level 3 technical support focus.
Day to day, you will assist the helpdesk team with BAU (Business As Usual) support coverage, while also having the opportunity to assist with key client projects alongside a senior technician
This role would suit someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and continue developing towards a more senior IT role within the MSP industry
Interest and experience in AI and cybersecurity would be considered advantageous
Day-to-day tasks will include
Helpdesk support, including troubleshooting client issues from our office
Onsite client support as required
User setup and administration, including account creation and general management
Hardware setup, including out-of-box configuration and software installation
Completing delegated tasks from your supervisor
Working alongside a senior technician to assist with project rollouts
Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including general administration, Teams and SharePoint




Windows Server support and administration
Assisting with varied technical tasks and left-of-field projects as required
What we look for in an ideal candidate:
An open-minded and enthusiastic approach to providing technical support services, with a genuine interest in learning and contributing to the team
A strong desire to learn new skills and continue progressing within the MSP industry
The ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
A practical, common-sense approach to identifying problems and implementing effective solutions
The ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
The confidence and capability to act as a first point of contact for larger client accounts when required, assisting with technical support, IT project coordination and implementation
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Eligible to work in Australia
At least 3 years' experience working as an IT support technician
Strong verbal and written communication skills
'Think outside the box' approach with troubleshooting with the ability to understand problems and provide solutions in a timely manner
Ability to work under pressure and manage your time effectively
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products – Implementation and troubleshooting as well as licensing knowledge
Windows Desktop (install, manage, troubleshoot)
Understanding of networking components and protocols
Australian driver's license and vehicle
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Windows Server (plan, install, manage and troubleshoot) including typical components such as Active Directory,



DNS, DHCP etc
IT Security / Cybersecurity (auditing, security project management and implementation)
Experience with SharePoint/Entra ID implementation, planning and migration deployments
Experience with Fortigate and Cisco Meraki products
AI knowledge – in general and functional usage in business environments
Virtualisation (VMware vCentre / vSphere / HyperV) troubleshooting and implementation
IP Telephony exposure and/or experience
Apple Mac exposure / experience
General networking knowledge (IP networks and hardware)
Sales (client discussions, solution planning, proposal development)
IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified or equivalent qualifications are advantageous
