Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children aged 18 months to 12 years and help strengthen family bonds and nurture secure attachment between caregivers and their children?
This rare opportunity to join Holyoake's Art and Play program will see the successful candidate provide child-led counselling sessions with children and their families who are affected by alcohol and other drug dependence.
About the role
You will work closely with the young consumers of their product and their adult representative.
You will provide client assessment, planning, intervention, and case management to clients at our Victoria Park office.
You will make professional, clinical decisions in consultation with Clinical Supervisor, Senior Counsellor and/or line manager as necessary.
You will ensure that case notes and client data are maintained to the required standards.
You will manage allocated client caseload in accordance with Holyoake clinical guidelines.
You will ensure that clinical services delivered reflect good practice standards and is in line with the Holyoake Approach, policy, and procedures.
This is a part-time position of 22.5 hours per week.
The role is based at our Victoria Park office, with occasional travel to offsite locations and other Holyoake sites.
About you
You hold a bachelor's degree or higher in creative art therapy, or a similar field
You have a strong understanding of evidence-based AOD models and theories and how they apply to family members of individuals affected by alcohol and other drug use.
You have excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
You have the ability to work non-judgmentally with a diverse client base




You have previous experience working with adolescents (desirable)
You hold a valid Working With Children check, or are able to successfully apply for one.

Starting salary of $91,065 p/a + super (pro rata)
