About the Role Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role provides strategic legal support across franchising, commercial and corporate matters for Craveable Brands and its portfolio of iconic restaurant brands.
Working closely with franchise management, Executive leaders and key business stakeholders, the role supports franchise transactions, commercial negotiations, governance obligations and dispute resolution activities.
The position manages a broad range of legal matters including franchise agreements, compliance matters, corporate advisory work and commercial contracts to help protect and grow the business.
This role plays an important part in balancing commercial outcomes with legal and regulatory requirements across a dynamic franchise network.
This position may be based in Sydney or Perth, depending on the successful candidate's location.Key Activities Include: Franchise Transactions & Lifecycle Management Prepare, review and negotiate franchise agreements, disclosure documents, licences, deeds and associated legal documentation.
• Support franchise transactions including new franchises, renewals and restructures.
• Manage settlement documentation and ensure franchise arrangements comply with legislative and internal governance requirements.
Franchise Compliance & Risk Management Provide legal and strategic advice on franchisee conduct,



performance and compliance matters.
• Draft and manage breach notices, default notices and related correspondence.
• Support risk management initiatives and assist with the resolution of franchise disputes and complex legal matters.
Commercial Advisory & Stakeholder Partnership Partner with franchise management, operations, finance and executive stakeholders to provide practical and commercially focused legal advice.
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements that support business objectives and operational requirements.
• Support strategic initiatives by identifying legal risks and providing recommendations that enable informed decision-making.
Governance, Regulatory & Corporate Support Assist with corporate governance activities and support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Monitor legislative changes and provide advice on obligations impacting the business and franchise network.
• Coordinate with external legal providers and specialist advisers when required to protect the interests of the Group.
About You Essential Formal legal qualifications and admission to practise law in Australia.
• Minimum 7 years' post-qualification experience in commercial, corporate, franchising or private practice environments.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements and legal documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide practical legal advice to senior business leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes in a quick-moving business environment.
Desirable Experience supporting franchise networks and franchise lifecycle transactions.
• Knowledge of the Franchising Code of Conduct and franchise compliance requirements.
• Experience within retail, QSR, hospitality or multi-site consumer businesses.
