Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation (YMAC) is the Native Title Representative Body (NTRB), delivering native title and other services across the Pilbara, Mid West, Murchison and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia.
YMAC is run by a First Nations board of directors, representing several native title groups, each of whom have their own language, culture, traditions and protocols.
YMAC services include native title claim and future act representation; heritage services; executive office, community, and economic development assistance; land administration, and natural resource management support.

About the Role:
YMAC is currently seeking a a full time (75 hours per fortnight) Business Support Officer to join the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) Executive Office (PBC EO) team in our Perth office on a permanent contract.
The PBC EO team provides governance and capacity building services to a range of prescribed body corporates in the Pilbara and Yamatji regions.
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing support to the Project Manager and Project Coordinators to assist in the preparation and follow-up of PBC meetings, and to assist in the formulation of policy and procedures to support the PBC EO team.
Working with a small team, this position requires the ability to be flexible,



work collaboratively with others across various locations, perform well in a pressured and sensitive work environments and on occasion work with minimal supervision.

About You:
You are a self-motivated and solutions-focused person who effectively manages competing priorities.
You have excellent attention and experience in providing high-quality administrative support that includes producing written documents, maintaining records and databases, organising meeting travel and logistics, supporting meetings from planning through to implementation, and providing back up reception duties where required.
You value working collaboratively within a team and build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
You are flexible, use initiative, maintain confidentiality, and are capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and culturally respectful environment.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum two years experience in a similar administrative role
Previous experience in corporate governance will be looked upon favourably
Skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Demonstrated computer literacy skills in MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organisational and time management skills, prioritising own work to agreed deadlines with the ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Attributes & Desired Knowledge
A strong connection to, or interest in, Aboriginal culture.
Team player, willing to work collaboratively within and across teams.
Ability to work independently whilst also able to work effectively in a team.
Proactive and flexible attitude.
