Role Description This is a full-time Civil Designer role based in Perth, WA, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home.
The Civil Designer will prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and documentation for land development projects, including subdivisions, roads, drainage, sewer, and utilities.
Day-to-day tasks include developing site plans and design layouts, modeling stormwater and drainage systems, and assisting with erosion and sediment control strategies.




The role involves collaborating with civil engineers and other team members, coordinating with external stakeholders, and ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
The Civil Designer will also support design reviews, contribute to cost-effective and practical design solutions, and assist with occasional site visits to confirm constructability and design intent.
Qualifications
Strong skills in civil engineering design for land development projects, including subdivision layouts and road infrastructure.Experience with stormwater and stormwater management, including hydraulic modeling and design of drainage networks will be an advantage.
Capability in preparing comprehensive site plans, including grading, services, and lot configurations.Knowledge of erosion control methods and applicable standards for sediment and erosion management will be an advantage.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar civil design tools).
Understanding of WA planning, infrastructure, and council requirements for civil works.Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to secure, buildable, and cost-effective designs.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage multiple projects.
