An established organisation is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to support the finance team in managing fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure reporting, and month-end financial processes.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative finance environment and take ownership of asset accounting activities across a diverse asset portfolio.
This is only a 3-month temporary assignment located in Joondalup.
Your new role
Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage asset capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and revaluations.
Monitor and report on capital expenditure projects and asset acquisitions.
Prepare fixed asset journals, reconciliations, and supporting month-end schedules.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities relating to fixed assets.
Assist with audit requirements, statutory reporting, and compliance obligations.
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen asset management controls and reporting.
What you'll need to succeed




Previous experience in a Fixed Asset Accountant, Financial Accountant, or similar role.
Demonstrated experience maintaining Fixed Asset Registers and asset accounting records.
Solid understanding of capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and asset lifecycle accounting.
Experience preparing reconciliations, journals, and month-end reporting requirements.
Strong ERP systems experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to work autonomously whilst partnering effectively with operational stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
