We're seeking a casual Optical Assistant / Optical Dispenser who enjoys variety, values flexibility, and is looking to join a supportive independent practice.

As a single Optometrist practice, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, thrives in a collaborative workplace, and is confident supporting the day-to-day flow of the practice alongside the Optometrist.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role combining patient care, reception, and optical dispensing support.
You'll enjoy building genuine relationships with patients while helping create a smooth, welcoming, and organised experience throughout the day.
Your responsibilities may include:




Optical dispensing and frame stylingSupporting patients with lens selections and adjustmentsManaging appointments, recalls, and administrationWorking closely alongside the OptometristAssisting with the day-to-day flow of the practiceCreating a calm, welcoming, and professional patient experience
About You
We're looking for someone who is warm, organised, proactive, and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Optical dispensing or Optical Assistant experience A friendly and professional communication style Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence managing competing priorities Experience with Optomate Touch (desirable) A genuine passion for patient care and independent optometry
