We are seeking experienced Counsellors to join a specialist service providing trauma-informed counselling, advocacy, and crisis support to victim-survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.
$105,000 + super + salary packaging
Full-time 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal

About the Service
Our client is a community based organisation committed to preventing and responding to sexual harm through trauma informed practice and systemic advocacy.
They deliver confidential counselling, crisis support, advocacy and community education for adults, children and young people who have experienced sexual harm, both recent and historical.
About the Role
As a Counsellor, you will provide therapeutic counselling, advocacy, referral, and crisis support to individuals and families impacted by sexual violence.
You will work within a trauma-informed, client-centred framework and contribute to broader service delivery, community education, and sector collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide trauma-informed counselling, advocacy, and support to adults, children, and young people
Deliver crisis counselling and attend crisis call-outs as required
Develop, implement, and monitor client case plans
Support clients navigating legal, criminal justice, health, and social service systems
Represent the service in meetings, forums, and community education activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders
Participate in case conferences and interagency collaboration
Prepare high-quality reports for courts and external agencies
Maintain accurate and timely client records
Contribute to service improvement, reporting,



and data collection
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Psychology, Counselling or Social Work with eligibility for membership of the relevant qualified association
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience providing counselling or therapeutic support
Demonstrated experience working with people impacted by sexual or interpersonal violence
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and feminist practice frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
