Company Description Shine On Support Services is a Newcastle-owned and operated provider of NDIS-registered support services, dedicated to empowering people to live more independently and confidently.
The organization offers a wide range of supports, including community participation, personal care, supported independent living, and tailored independent living options.
Short-term and medium-term accommodation services are available to help individuals transition between living arrangements or access temporary support.
With a strong local presence and person-centered approach, Shine On Support Services focuses on delivering high-quality, flexible support that meets the diverse needs of NDIS participants.Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time role responsible for overseeing day-to-day service delivery and operational efficiency across Shine On Support Services.
This position is based in Newcastle, NSW, with a mix of in office work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Key responsibilities include managing scheduling and rosters for support workers, monitoring service quality, ensuring compliance with NDIS standards and internal policies, and resolving operational issues promptly.
The role involves leading day to day operations, rostering oversight operational systems.
Our future Operations Manager will drive NDIS compliance, continuous improvement initiatives and work in close partnership with Director to lead strategic planning.




The Operations Manager will collaborate closely with leadership and frontline teams to optimize processes, support staff performance, and uphold a safe, respectful environment for clients and employees.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in operations management, sustem management, service coordination, or team leadership within disability, community, or health services.Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and workload prioritization, with the ability to manage multiple services and stakeholders simultaneously.Sound knowledge of NDIS frameworks, compliance requirements, and person-centered practice, or willingness to quickly develop this expertise.
Proficiency with digital tools and systems (e.g., client management systems, rostering software, MS Office) and comfort working in a hybrid environment.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities to collaborate effectively with clients, families, staff, and external partners.Problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the capacity to respond to incidents, escalations, and changing service needs in a calm, organized manner.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice and creating a safe, supportive workplace culture.Relevant tertiary qualification in management, social services, health, or a related field, or equivalent experience; current driver's license and ability to travel locally as required.
