We are seeking an energetic, commercially minded
Market Development Manager
to lead the growth of our business across South Australia.

About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth by expanding our retail customer base while strengthening relationships with key wholesale partners throughout South Australia.
This is a hands-on field-based role where your success will come from developing new business opportunities, increasing product distribution, expanding product ranging, and supporting wholesalers to grow sales through their customer networks.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow independent and retail customers throughout South Australia.
Identify and secure new business opportunities across retail and selected foodservice channels.
Increase product ranging and distribution within existing customer accounts.
Build strong relationships with wholesale partners to expand product listings and improve market penetration.
Conduct joint sales calls with wholesaler representatives to win new business.
Deliver product training and category presentations to wholesale sales teams and retail customers.
Execute promotional programs, product launches, merchandising initiatives, and in-store activities.
Monitor competitor activity and identify emerging market opportunities.




Represent Mayers Fine Food and Arla Foods Mayer Australia at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM while delivering regular business reports.
What You'll Bring
Previous experience in FMCG, grocery, foodservice, or wholesale sales.
Proven success in business development and territory management.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Experience working with independent retailers and/or wholesale distributors.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously.
Robust organisational and time management skills.
A current Australian driver's licence.
