About the role
We are seeking a
Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist
to join the team at Maximum Health Chiropractic in Mackay, QLD.
This is a
casual position
working ***** hours per week with the flexibility to do extra hours when team mates are sick or on leave.
The right person will need to be able to work 7:30am - 1pm OR 1pm - 6pm shifts and 7.30am - 10:30am shifts on Saturdays (flexible).
You will be the first point of contact for our patients, creating a welcoming environment whilst supporting our clinical team to ensure efficient day-to-day functioning.

Key responsibilities
Greeting patients upon arrival and managing reception duties with professionalism and warmth
Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic diary to optimise patient flow
Processing patient enquiries via telephone and email in a timely and courteous manner
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations
Processing payments and managing financial transactions securely
Maintaining clinic treatment areas to the highest standards
Managing clinic inventory and ordering supplies as required
Promoting clinic services and informing patients about available treatments
Supporting the general administration and cleanliness of the clinic environment
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a medical administration, reception or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential
Strong organisational and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient care




Proficiency in using computer systems, scheduling software and general office applications
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work with sensitive health information responsibly
A friendly, approachable demeanour and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Basic knowledge of chiropractic or healthcare practices is advantageous but willing to learn
Reliability and flexibility to accommodate casual shift patterns
