ACCOUNTS TEAM MEMBER

We are a well-established and highly regarded Gold Coast law firm seeking an experienced Accounts Team Member to lead our accounts team and support the continued growth of the practice.
This is a key role responsible for overseeing all aspects of legal accounting, compliance, and financial operations within a busy professional services environment.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for the effective management of the firm's accounting operations, including:
Management of trust and general accounts in compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements;
Oversight of billing, receipting, and debtor control processes;
Monitoring and reporting on financial performance, including preparation of monthly management reports;
Supervision and mentoring of accounts and administrative staff;
Ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards and audit requirements;
Management of accounts payable and receivable functions;
Liaising with external accountants and auditors; and
Continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes and team efficiencies




About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience in a senior accounts or finance role within a law firm;
Strong knowledge of trust accounting and legal compliance requirements;
Experience with legal practice management systems (e.g. LawMaster or similar);
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and problem-solving skills;
Strong leadership capability;
High level of integrity and professionalism; and
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
