We're looking for an experienced
Payroll & Accounts Officer
to join our Finance team in Perth.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day payroll and finance functions of the business, ensuring employees and suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining high standards of financial administration.
Your responsibilities will include:
Payroll
Processing weekly and fortnightly payroll
Managing new employee setup and payroll records
Processing leave, salary adjustments, terminations and long service leave
Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
Payroll Tax, PAYG and Superannuation processing
Payroll reconciliations and year-end processing
Responding to payroll enquiries
Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation
Accounts Payable
Processing supplier invoices
Supplier statement reconciliations
Payment runs
Purchase order administration
Maintaining supplier records
GST compliance
Managing supplier enquiries
Accounts Receivable
Customer invoicing
Purchase order management
Weekly utilisation reporting
Debt collection and payment follow-up
Processing receipts
Maintaining invoice registers and work in progress
Customer account reconciliations
General Finance
Bank reconciliations
Month-end accruals
Assisting with audits
Liaising with banks and external stakeholders
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes
General administration and reporting
About You
You are organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
You take ownership of your work, communicate professionally and have a strong customer service mindset.
Ideally you will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a payroll and accounts role
Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping (desirable)
Sound understanding of payroll legislation and GST
Experience with MYOB (highly regarded)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Excellent organisational and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Current Australian working rights
Experience within the mining, civil construction or contracting industries will be highly regarded.
