We are looking for a motivated, creative, proven leader to take on the role of head chef, who can lead our restaurant through the next stage of its evolution.
With the bar focused on wine & craft beer, and a deliberate absence of pokies, the result is an emphasis on ambience and dining experience.
This means there is great potential here for a chef to get noticed and make a name for themself.
A family-owned and run business, the recently restored Commercial Boutique Hotel opened in its current form in September **** and has proven itself to be one of the best venues in the region.
The hotel is a stunning destination for travellers looking for a high-quality food experience in NSW High Country.
Located in the heart of Tenterfield on the crossroads of the New England and Bruxner Highways, the Commercial Boutique Hotel exudes a retro art deco feel, with 8 luxury hotel rooms, also beautifully restored.
Tenterfield was acclaimed by the Sydney Morning Herald as the perfect historic town,



and with stunning national parks and landscapes it has a lot of appeal as a tree-change destination.
To be successful in this role you will:
Overall management of the commercial kitchen
Continually train your team to improve and able to lead your team effectively
Communicate effectively to your kitchen team, customer service team & management
Foster positivity amongst your team members
Food costing and gross profit management
Maintain a consistent high standard of food output
Be motivated & creative
Conduct yourself professionally
Always have customer expectations in mind
Have a valuable eye for presentation
Ensuring compliance with NSW Food Authority and food safety requirements
Coordinating kitchen operations during peak trading periods
Menu planning and seasonal menu development
Ordering and supplier liaison
Maintain up-to-date dish costings, kitchen budgeting, stock control and waste management
Average 48 hours Tuesday to Sunday
Pay: $90,****** – $95,****** per year
