About the Role
This an exciting opportunity for a vibrant and passionate Training Officer.
You will develop, coordinate, and deliver engaging training programs that build staff capability and confidence in using the corporate systems and tools they utilise on a daily basis.
A key part of the role is designing effective learning resources and supporting the successful adoption of new systems and ways of working across Council.
Join Baw Baw Shire Council in this essential business support role as we begin to implement new systems and processes that enhance the way we work and interact with our customers.
The Training Officer is responsible for designing and maintaining a consistent training program for corporate software solutions, developing training materials and supporting resources, coordinating and delivering staff training and information sessions, and working collaboratively with teams responsible for corporate systems to ensure training resources and manuals are developed in a consistent, user-focused manner.
About the Successful Candidate
You will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with a passion for building staff capability through engaging and responsive training.
You will be experienced in utilising a blended learning approach to design, develop, deliver and evaluate targeted training programs, ensuring staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively use the systems relevant to their roles.
You will also need to demonstrate to the following;
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or relevant experience).
Experience designing, delivering and facilitating training programs,
including developing learning resources and supporting staff capability.
Experience developing engaging training resources using contemporary tools, including video editing and screen recording.
Understanding of Local Government systems and programs or be willing to undertake training in the following: Microsoft Office Suite, M365 Platform, TechnologyOne ERP (CRM, Financials, HRP, Property & Rating, ECM and IntraMaps GIS), SharePoint and MS Teams.
