Solicitor - Commercial, Wills & Estates

About the Role

CLO Lawyers is seeking an experienced solicitor to join our Toowoomba office. This position is a full-time, permanent position for an admitted solicitor with at least three years' post-admission experience who can manage matters largely independently, with support from a director and the wider team when required.

The successful candidate will inherit existing workload. We have substantial work across our practice areas and can allocate matters to suit your experience and strengths. Experience across every area below is not required, and more senior applicants are also encouraged to apply.

The Work

- Manage files from initial instructions through to completion, including advice, drafting, negotiations, deadlines, costs and client expectations
- Commercial and business law, including transactions, structures and related advisory work
- Rural and agribusiness matters, including rural transactions and succession-related work
- Wills, estate planning and estate administration -succession documentation and estate administration
- Estate litigation, including advising clients and managing matters through to resolution




- Work collaboratively with directors, colleagues and support staff while taking responsibility for your own matters

What We're Looking For

- Admission as an Australian legal practitioner and entitlement to hold a Queensland practising certificate
- Minimum three years' post-admission experience in one or more of the practice areas above, with the ability to work independently
- The ability to work with limited supervision and exercise sound professional judgment
- A practical, commercially minded approach to advice and problem-solving
- An approachable manner and the confidence to build trusted client relationships
- Strong drafting, organisation and communication skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a broad legal team
