Lean Mining is a Queensland-based maintenance, trades and field services business. We've partnered with a leading global OEM to support fixed plant maintenance across the Mackay & Coalfields QLD. We're growing our crew and looking for skilled, motivated Mechanical Fitters who want consistent and reliable work without sacrificing their weekends.
The lifestyle roster:
- Local DIDO options available - whatever suits where you're based
- Local Mackay-region candidates: drive in / drive out,
- 40 to 48 hours per week
- Mackay Region-based or drivable distance
This roster exists because we think you can earn well and be home Friday night. Your ongoing reliable availability and can do attitude is all that we are after in return
The work - varied, genuinely engaging:
You won't be stuck on one piece of plant - we get involved in fixed plant maintenance, shutdowns and breakdown response for:
- Crushers, sizers and feeders
- Screens, chutes and transfer points
- Pumps, hydraulics and rotating equipment
- CHPP and associated fixed plant
- Fault-finding, troubleshooting and mechanical repair across multiple sites
Different sites, different challenges, real variety - not the same job every swing.
- Proven experience in coal or heavy industrial fixed plant maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills on large, fixed plant
- Australian working rights (citizen, PR or unrestricted work visa) - must be verifiable
- A genuine team-player attitude - we run tight, respectful crews and culture matters here
- Strong safety mindset - works to JSEAs, SWMS and site safety systems because it's how we work, not because your being told by your supervisor.

- Standard 11 Generic Coal Induction (current)

- Confined Space Entry
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Rigging (Basic / Intermediate) and Dogging
- EWP / Scissor Lift
- First Aid / LVR / CPR
