About the Role

The Director Risk and Assurance leads AMSA's enterprise approach to risk, assurance, compliance and corporate governance, ensuring the organisation has the insight, oversight and assurance needed to make informed decisions and manage risk effectively. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will work closely with senior leaders, the Executive and Board Audit and Risk Committee to strengthen governance maturity, improve assurance coverage and drive continuous improvement across AMSA.

In this role you will:

- Lead AMSA's enterprise risk, assurance, compliance and governance frameworks.
- Oversee the enterprise risk register, assurance mapping and risk-based internal audit program.
- Provide strategic advice and reporting to the Executive and Board Audit and Risk Committee.




- Drive monitoring and improvement of audit actions, compliance obligations and organisational controls.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships while fostering a culture of accountability, effective risk management and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

You will bring:

- Significant experience leading enterprise risk, internal audit, assurance, compliance or governance functions.
- Strong understanding of risk management, assurance and corporate governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence, advise and build credibility with senior executives, Boards and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including developing capability and fostering high-performing teams.
- Strong judgement, analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex issues into practical business outcomes.
- Behaviours aligned with One AMSA values and ways of working.
