The Role
We are looking for experienced Electronics Repair Technicians to join our Repair Department team in our Hawthorn office.
Reporting to the Repairs Team Leader, your role will involve repairing and reporting on Eftpos terminals and related equipment.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyse and repair incoming returns to both component and PCB level
- Report on failures as required in company processes
- Analyse returned devices for true root cause and ensure all relevant personnel are notified of any issues
- Assist the Hardware Design Department with the analysis and build of prototype units for new products as required
- Complete fault entry information and analysis to maintain company procedures as required
- Complete any other tasks to ensure smooth operation of business requirements as requested by the Repair Team Leader or management
The successful candidate will have:
- An electronics background and education, preferably Certificate III in Electronics.
- Experience in a technician role with SMT level repairs to at least 0603 components or smaller
- Proficiency in reading both analog and digital electronic schematic drawings
- Excellent Soldering Skills
- Qualified approach to repairs
- Very good verbal & written communication skills
- A strong desire to learn
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent Problem solving skills
- Ability to multi task and prioritise work accordingly
