Project Manager PSMB Grade: 11/12. Salary range: $149,739-173,174 + superannuation and leave loading. Duration: temporary full time role for up to 48 months. Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement 2 days a week in Sydney, McKell. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies.

Sit between strategy, solution definition, delivery coordination, and stakeholder alignment. Reporting to the PSMB Program Manager, this role drives coordination across multiple workstreams to ensure the successful delivery of program outcomes, key milestones, and alignment with government priorities and stakeholder requirements.

The role serves as the central point of integration across strategy, commercial, policy, operational, and delivery teams, managing dependencies, facilitating decision-making, resolving cross-functional issues, and ensuring program activities remain aligned, coordinated, and on track.

About the team

This role sits within the Public Safety Mobile Broadband team in the NSW Telco Authority. The PSMB team at NSW Telco Authority is helping shape the next generation of communications for emergency services. By developing the business case, delivery model and procurement approach for Public Safety Mobile Broadband, the team supports improved connectivity, resilience and operational capability for frontline responders during emergencies, disasters and day-to-day operations across NSW.

Your responsibilities will include

- Coordinating and aligning activities across multiple workstreams including architecture, commercial, policy, procurement, operations, and delivery.
- Managing program interdependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Identifying, escalating, and resolving challenges impacting scope, schedule, stakeholder alignment, or program objectives.
- Driving the execution of actions and ensuring workstreams remain aligned to key priorities and milestones.
- Translating strategic objectives into coordinated delivery plans that align with government, program, and operational requirements.




- Building and maintaining stakeholder consensus across competing operational, technical, commercial, and policy needs.
- Supporting governance and executive decision-making through program analysis, recommendations, reporting, and assurance activities.

To be successful in this role you will have

- Proven experience coordinating complex programs or projects involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
- Strong ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and competing priorities to achieve program outcomes.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus across operational, technical, commercial, and policy functions.
- Experience translating strategic objectives into coordinated delivery priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Experience supporting governance frameworks, executive reporting, assurance activities, and informed decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to maintain alignment between stakeholder expectations, program objectives, and delivery outcomes.

Nice to have

- Existing knowledge of the PSMB program and broader public safety communications environment
- Demonstrated experience working directly on NSW PSMB, NEMA, Commonwealth PSMB development, mission-critical communications, or emergency services communications programs

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at 154,231 base plus superannuation.
