We’re looking for a Civil Designer (Civil 3D or 12D) to join our national team based in Melbourne. In this role you will work across diverse, project-based assignments as part of a collaborative national team. The position of Civil Engineering Designer performs civil engineering technical tasks ranging from medium to high complexity. Designers will work independently or be responsible for leading a team of designers and CAD draftspersons to deliver quality detailed engineering models and drawings, in an efficient manner. The Civil Designer will also work within project design parameters, approved by the project director and/or project design manager.
Additionally, in this role you will
- Assist project teams in Civil Engineering design, project management and in defining design parameters
- Development of civil engineering models in accordance with defined design parameters.
- Manage and mentor other civil engineering designers throughout project life cycles.
- Undertake design checks in accordance with design parameters.
- Communicate all design components effectively and accurately with project teams.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor of Engineering or Technical College qualification (Advance Diploma Civil Engineering or approved equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience (at least 5-7+ years) in a similar role
- Comprehensive understanding of Civil Engineering, including a strong knowledge of Roads, Stormwater Drainage and Earthworks Design.
- Competency in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
- Ability to develop Civil 3D Surfaces, Pipes and Earthworks Models to TTW national standardised frameworks.
- Ability to coordinate in ground infrastructure in accordance with relevant authorities.
- Ability to read and implement local state standards.
