As Operations Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of workshop production, powder coating, installation scheduling, logistics, quality control, and team performance.

You'll work closely with owners, customers, suppliers, tradespeople, and installation teams to ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Operational Leadership

Managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and installation teams

Coordinating workflow across fabrication, coating, assembly, and installation

Ensuring jobs are delivered on time and within budget

Driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency

Hands-On Involvement

Supporting workshop teams during busy periods

Assisting with troubleshooting production challenges

Conducting site inspections and customer visits

Assisting with measurements, planning, and job coordination when required

Working alongside the team to ensure successful job delivery

Leading by example in safety, quality, and professionalism

People & Team Management

Leading and developing workshop and installation staff

Managing workforce planning and daily scheduling

Conducting toolbox meetings and safety discussions

Promoting accountability and a positive workplace culture

Assisting with recruitment and onboarding

Quality, Safety & Customer Service

Maintaining quality standards across all products and installations

Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements





Managing customer expectations and resolving issues professionally

Building solid relationships with customers and suppliers

About You

You are a practical leader who enjoys solving problems, building teams, and getting involved where needed. You understand that leadership in a small business means being adaptable, accountable, and willing to jump in to help when required.

Background in fabrication, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or related industries

Experience coordinating installation or field service teams

Strong leadership and people management skills

Planning, scheduling, and organisational ability

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

Current Driver's Licence

Highly Regarded

Trade qualification in fabrication, welding, engineering, or related field

Operations, Production, Workshop or Manufacturing Management experience
